1. What attracted you to the SCA?
The oppoortunity to play with people who love the same things I do.
2. What is your perspective of what the SCA is to you?
Its an outlet for me. I get to learn about a great many things I am curious
about. I get to teach the things I know about. I have an outlet for my music
and my passion.
3. Where do you invest the most time and energy in the SCA (household,
local group, kingdom, specific activity)
My "family" (its large and ever changing!) Most recently, our new practice,
our new cadet and the shire of gatesedge.
4. How long before you started to take initiative in the SCA (applying
for an office, organizing an activity, etc.?)
less than 6 months
5. Were there instances that could have "run you out of the SCA"..why
did they not...or why did you come back?
Yes, but I miss this game that makes me... well more me.
6. How long before you burned out? Why did you burn out? Is there
anything anyone could have done to help keep you from "burning out"?
Burn out happens regularly... Usually it happens when Mundanity gets to be
too much to deal with... Its cyclical.
7. What do you get out of the SCA?
The experiences. My friends and my Family... My husband and my Music.
8. If you have your AoA...how long did you get it after starting to
participate in the SCA?
Oh lordy... about I started playing in 1992... and received my AOA in 1997.
and last but not least...why do you think that people should join the
SCA and stay in it?
The SCA is different for everyone. I think its something that people should
experience... If nothing else they will take away twice what they have put
in.
