I know this topic has been covered by Ihon, Chamberlain, but I'm a bit behind on posts. I recall
when the list of items were put up for 're-adoption' by their makers/groups. I reclaimed a set of
table runners I'd made that I was essentially interested to see how they have faired over much
abuse - and was surprized to see they were in good shape.

It's a valid point that different Crowns have different tastes in their choice on what to keep,
but someone has to make a choice. I'd bet the released regalia was as beautiful as those kept, but
were perhaps duplicates taking up too much space. Even the Kingdom Historian's office has only so
much space for 'archival' items and must pick-n-choose what to keep and to pass.

I learned a valuable lesson from our Baronial Chatelaine (keeper of goods), that before gifting
items that must be stored by the barony, it's a good idea to 'ask' for what is needed; in order to
avoid redundancy and waste of great talent and funds. (Not intended as a slight to the history of
the discarded regalia's donations.)

Now, where's that EBay listing....hunting for good stuff!
