Greetings everyone!
I have a missive from two individuals that have decided to start over in
Ansteorra, rather than return to New Orleans. They are in Houston now, but
will shortly be moving to Austin to stay with family. They are looking for
job leads in Texas, prefereably in the Austin or Houston area. They've got
all the food, water, etc., they need, but they're hoping to go ahead and
re-start their lives as soon as possible.
 Here is their information:
"I was working as a print production manager and account executive for an
advertising agency and television production company. I am also pursuing my
master's in film, and am looking for jobs on films in the art department or
as a production assistant. Christopher's skills lie in the computer end - he
owns his own computer software development business. He is a consultant to
large businesses who have a need for specialized computer
programs/databases/websites.His last project was building a database to keep
track of testing on oil platforms, and he was also working on a database to
keep track of students for the Orleans Parish school board. We both build
websites. If anyone knows of jobs in those areas of Texas, or anywhere for
that matter, that would be the best thing we could get right now. Please
thank everyone for me for their offers of help!"
If you can help them, please contact Mistress Yseult in Meridies and she
will get you in touch with Leslie and Christopher.

She will be out-of-town tomorrow and part of Sunday, but I will get back
with folks as soon as humanly possible.

 Rixende,
Thanks so much for the offer! Right now, Leslie and Christopher are staying
with friends in Houston, but they're on their way to her father's house in
Austin. They've got all the food, water, etc., they need, but they're hoping
to go ahead and re-start their lives as soon as possible, realizing there's
nothing left for them in New Orleans. Plus, Leslie is simply the Very
Industrious type, and wants to get back to work. ;)
The biggest help would be in job leads, especially in the Austin or Houston
areas. Is there any way you could post to a Kingdom e-list or local list to
find out if anyone can help in this area?
 She sent me their credentials:
"I was working as a print production manager and account executive for an

If anyone knows of anything in these areas, they can contact me here (
epples at alltel.net) or by phone at 478-956-4734, and I will get them in
contact with Leslie and Christopher. I will be out-of-town tomorrow and part
of Sunday (going to Savannah to look in on my grandmother), but I will get
back with folks as soon as humanly possible.
 Thanks a bunch, Rixende!

If you get me information on contacting her where she is, I can forward it
to the Houston SCA group. Also, here is some info snipped from antoher post.
Ansteorra is itching to help with placing SCAdians in homes rather than
shelters
 "I know Baroness Lissa,<sjurgens at swbell.net>, was
working to get a list of SCA'ers already crashing in Stargate/ Houston.
Stargate has an open fighter-practice at Memorial Park near the tennis
courts,
this Sunday afternoon, 9/4 from 2-5, send the word to those hoping to
contact the local
SCA."
