[Ansteorra] RE: Pirates in Period

There is a manuscript in Dublin, or is it in Glasgow?, which has a note to
the side of the text, in which said note states the an ancient monk's
prayerful thanks:

"My fingers are so cold I can hardly hold the quill. There is a huge storm
outside. God be praised for the cold and the storm, for, in weather like
this, the vikings don't raid."

Does this make the vikings, "fair weather raiders"? If so....Wusses!!!
