Well, I guess I might as well stir the bunnies a bit too, so here we go.

    
    Now for some advise (no you weren't going to get off the hook that 
easily). The position of Baron and Baroness has an important role in the 
functioning of a group. Their proper focus is not to run the group, this is 
the job of the Seneschal.
 

REALLY?!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????? That's not what I heard.



 The main function of the landed nobility  is to be 
the focus and scaffolding of period play. They should facilitate game play, 
and if done well, create great depth and direction for the group. 
 


And I thought the purpose of the landed nobility was to wear a giant target
on their back for the sadists of the group and the kingdom to take potshots
at. Anyone who aspires to be landed nobility has no clue what the term
target really means. It doesn't matter what the goals and aims are, we are
all 21st century people incorporating politics into everything.
