Wordfame from Coronation for the Scribal and Insignia Contests.

The change of venue for the Scribal Contest to Coronation probably caused a number of scribes to
not be able to enter, so there was a small, but very nice display of original and color reproduced
scrolls (4 of them).

The populace voting was 79 folks, the most voting for the last three contests I’ve hosted, yeah!
While the race was very close, there can be only one winner, and the vote went to the
collaborative scrolls by two ladies from Namron, Nicoleae MacFionndlaigh and Danielle de
Marseilles, of the two Duchy scrolls for Aaron and Britta.

Also shown was the 'Kingdom Artisan' scroll by Suzanne Gabrielle Marie Beraud from Bjornsborg – it
made a bunch of artisans drool thinking they might receive it if they win Artisan; the vote was
very close between this scroll and the winner.

The Queen herself, Deanna, displayed the 'Queen’s Champion' scroll and all were impressed with the
scroll and the rapier community was quite pleased that the Queen took such care to provide a
scroll by her own hand. Her Majesty also provided the Guardian of the Queen's Hope scroll too,
though it was not displayed.

On display was the Royal Huntsman scroll, calligraphy by Leofwine of Sumersaetum, the current
Royal Huntsman, with the pencil drawn illumination by his daughter Angela. The scroll is
currently being painted by Katarzyna Nikolaieva 'Kat' of Emerald Keep.

I was most impressed that the Queen created hew own champion scrolls and that the retiring Royal
Huntsman created the scroll for his own successor. Well done.

Last but not least, the Insignia contest winner for ‘Quantity’ (really nice Rising Stars) was
Brian O'hUilliam and the ‘Quality’ (spun, dyed and woven Star of Merit ribbons) was HL Wyllow
MacMuireadhaigh, both of Loch Soilleir.

Vivat to those who won, and most importantly, Vivat to those to participated!

Cheers, Hillary Greenslade, Star Signet Ansteorra
