I was being overly quick and lazy.  I'll be more explicit.  Lachlann asked:

 1.Are we allowed to grab the strikinge edge of a weapon?

You are allowed to grab the striking edge of your weapon.  You are not
allowed to grab the striking edge of an opponent's weapon.

 2.Are we allowed to grab our opponents weapon anywere they are allowed?
No, as they are allowed to grab their own blade, and you can't. The
rules clearly state (Section 2.I.A.1.b) that you can grab their haft
with your armored hands.

 3.If so, does this rule overrule those rules?
No.

To clarify the intent behind this, this rule is designed to allow
half-swording, but is restrained to prevent too much wrestling.
