Having stupidly broken two bones in my right foot a week before War, my
mobility was somewhat impeded and I couldn't fight (though I did manage to
hit Duke Bytor with my crutches, and he called the blow "good").

But I made it up to the Green Dragon twice to sing, and to listen to other
bards, and I think I have never been so close to my own vision of the
Dream as being in that beautiful tavern.  It seems to me to now be such an
integral part of Gulf Wars that I wonder how we managed all those years
without it.
