That can happen with any credit card at the pumop, and there is usually a notice saying that. :) So that's a possibility with ALL credit and debit cards, no matter what flavor.

I did some research into this a while back. The workaround for this is to
take the card inside and have the clerk ring it up for the amount before
pumping or hold it until you are finished. Not as convenient but it doesn't
lock up the funds for a few days.
