[Ansteorra] OT: this is soooo cool

Niven and Pournelle stated in the meeting that they are getting ready to
drop another big rock on the earth in an upcoming book :)

The authors are a member of a think tank group called Sigma who offer their
service to government agencies for consultation on a pro bono rated.
(interestingly similar to the activity of the SciFi authors in the book
Footfall).

As such they are speakers at a National Defense Industry Association meeting
that I'm attending this week.

I think I was one of only two SciFi fans in the audience.  Makes me wonder
about government types.
