What about these definitions?

Regalia - The emblems, symbols, or paraphernalia indicative of an office
or status that is passed from one person to another. Items that are
owned by a group, do not depreciate in value quickly, and are worn.
Examples are: crowns, coronets, champion medallions, etc.

Insignia - A symbol or token of personal status or office and that is
owned by an individual. Examples are: award tokens, circlets, etc.
