I thought I had heard something about these suggestions before, so I looked it up on snopes.
While the dryer sheet might make you smell better, it won't act as a mosquito repellent.

I have used the Avon Skin-So-Soft myself. I don't know how well it worked, I only ocassionally have a problem with mosquitos.
