  (Forgive me if I haven't read all replies since my post, I have so much to share and so little time to do it in.  So, if I repeat something someone already said, please go easy on me.)
   
  I think I tried to get this same sort of conversation going with the only way I know how; a poem.  It was tossed back at me so I feel we are all ready to consider a few things.  Before I start, I will add that the things I say and do are absolutely in adherence to my persona.  Lady Xue is an anti-legalist confucian.  If you don't know what that is, they use the past to teach valuable lessons about the preasent and future.  For further information check some books or Wikipedia (lol).  
   
  First off, many people DO look at the SCA as a community.  They make friends within it, build families, and raise their childeren.  They use the SCA to instil values in their children and to remind them that not everyone thinks that Honor and the like are silly things of the past
   
  Second, many people ARE unhappy with the way their areas seem tyo be in a sort of decline.  I can easily point out that the economy has something to do with this sorry state that some feel we have fallen into.  I can also say that it isn't just gas.  In some areas it IS the people.  
   
  Yes, MY DREAM is different from YOUR DREAM is different from HIS DREAM is different from HER DREAM.  IT always has been and always will be.  All we can do is show people the many ways it has been and is now while hoping they see and find their own niche.  All I know is that most people's dream doesn't consist of gossip and secrets and silly bickering.  If you're innocent of this then there's no need to defend yourselves.  There is a need to show people that most of us don't have any need of it.  I for one have watched it destroy far more that a few households in my day.  
   
  I'm climbing off my two stacked up soup boxes for the day, for my little one is now awake.  Be sure that you'll all be hearing more of my and other's opinions on this matter for years to come.
