Aint it the truth. I left SCA for 7 years, when I came back I though things
had changed, they haven't and I'm saddened to see that people haven't
learned how damaging this can be. One would think that people would get an
understanding that this sort of behavior dishonors themselves and hurts
others, but I guess you just can't change human nature.

In some cases gossip and bickering have played a part in destroying much
more than households and groups.  There was so much gossiping and bickering
with an SCA group I was involved in, some things current, but a lot of it
from events in the past.  . After the final meeting it took me almost two
years before I decided to try the SCA again because I got so disgusted with
it.  I know people who played in the past who left the SCA for the same
reasons; they're willing to do the one local event a year with their friends
but won't have anything more to do with the SCA because they don't want to
deal with the drama again.  It's a real turn off and it distracts people
from the great things that Ansteorra, and the SCA have to offer.
 
I probably should have asked first, but thank you Lady Yu Xue XianXian for
