[Ansteorra] Falling down

Wow...what a novel concept...actually *dying* from a killing blow?

I still remember my Very First Tournament...I'd been fighting at Fighter
practice for several weeks or a couple of months.
First round; my opponent got me a shot square in the chest... I tapped my
chest and nodded.
His Grace, Don Sigmund the Wing-footed was marshalling.
He walked up to me, and said quietly: "Was it good?" I nodded.
"Are you dead?" he asked.
Confused, I said "Yes..."
In a booming voice, Sigmund said:"Then fall DOWN!"
I don't know what happened to my legs... I swear they evaporated. I *never*
forgot that lesson.

As always, fighters may acknowledge any blow in any fashion that
permits their opponent to understand that the blow has been
successfully struck with intent and force. Saying good loudly and
falling down are the best indicator, but are not the only ones
allowed.

I point that a high percentage of our injuries last year were from
contact with the ground.

Finally, fighters who continue to strike opponents repeatedly after a
clear indication of a clean blow so as to impose their viewpoint of
combat will be sanctioned.
