[Ansteorra] Staffordshire Hoard book

You'll all remember the e-mails that flew around our mailing lists a  
few months ago about the discovery of the Staffordshire Hoard <http:// 
www.staffordshirehoard.org.uk/>.  The British museum has now issued a  
48-page book about the find that you can buy for £4.99 <http:// 
www.britishmuseumshoponline.org/invt/cmc23288>.  One pound of that  
will go into a fund designed to allow Staffordshire museums to  
purchase and display the hoard.  As far as I can tell, shipping is  
free, even outside the U.K.

A member of a mailing list to which I subscribe has a copy, and  
described it as being very well done--a slim volume but one with  
quality photos and line drawings and excellent text.  I thought it  
might be of interest to a lot of folks, especially the Anglo-Saxons  
and metalworkers among us.
