At risk of sounding a little too sarcastic, one might alleviate these
concerns by publishing an event schedule, with armor inspection times,
tournament times, etc on the event website.  Publishing no information
what so ever besides the feast menu provides room for people to
speculate freely, while accurate information prevents rumors and
gossip from spreading.
