First, he suggested you reply in private. You do not have to do so, but it
would be a courtesy.

Second, you certainly have a right to give you opinions, but use of any
given list is up to the owners/moderators of that list.

Third, you did not answer any of the questions he asked. You are not
engaging in a discussion, but a rant.

Fourth, he never said he had consulted all the local sources, but he got the
most likely for activity in Steppes.

If you want to discuss something of interest to this group, this list may be
the right place. If you want to rant, it may not be.

In service,
Caelin on Andrede

This is a "Freedom of Speech" issue. It is a Constitution right of this
country for it's citizen. You can agree, disagree, or just use the "Delete"
key and move on, which I so stated in the 1st paragraph, last line.

The issue apologizing for someone else is just a smoke screen at best.

Personal note -As far as you being aware on all the local sources, you are
not even close to all the sources.

this was raised in this forum. I do request any responses to me on this be
in private and not posted to the list. I will note ahead of time I am not
the Seneschal nor an officer of the Steppes. I am just relaying information
as I have seen on the local sources.

sent out prior to the move and did originally reference Mary Heads, but a
recent post specifies the new location.

I would put forth that the _Senechal_ would likely be the best individual to
represent the group to the City and gain any permissions that might be
necessary. no other officer, let alone non-officer, should do more than
gather information and possibly advise the seneschal in what should be done.
Just my thought on the matter.

archery and siege weapons should be a separate issue due to potential legal
restrictions, but I am not aware that any group needs permission or to be
approved to utilize a public park. I am not sure this is something that
other local groups worry about either. If there are regulations addressing
this that are a concern I would like to hear them and would be happy to help
you in getting them addressed by the appropriate officers.

have not seen anything on the local list regarding actually firing siege
weapons at the park. I saw something about a combat archery class at
fighter practice, and in the same email something about wanting to start up
a siege weapon class to train people for three commanders. Nothing
specified directly that this would 1. Happen at the park or 2. Happen at
the same time as the combat archery class.

the Steppes are well aware of the change.
