During the Comic Con, the Caidian Barony of Calafia's (San Diego, CA and 
surrounding areas) warband, the Iron Brigade, hosted a demo for the Con goers.  
Her then Caidian Majesty, Queen Kara, has been a long time supporter and 
contributor to the San Diego Comic Con, and organized the demo to attract 
interest in the SCA.  Apparently it was very well received, according to a 
posting by a very enthusiastic Comic Con blogger.

I recognize some of the shield heraldry in that picture, but its been too long 
for me to remember names.

But while viewing pics of costumes folks wore at Comic-Con last week (and some 
are really out there!!)
