[Ansteorra] sharing tales of past Gulf Wars for newer people

While many of us are on their way to great adventure some of us are stuck at home. Sigh...
I thought it might be fun for us longer tenure people to tell our adventures to our less experience members. 
My last time going to the war nothing happened on the trip up but the three time before we had problems with the cars and trucks I traveled with. But we were in Large caravans and had really heavy loads. The more people who have with you and the more stuff and the more times you go the more likely of having an adventure on the way going or coming back. 
I don't know what it is like now but early on you could not get in until Monday morning. I went up with Falcon Rose who likes to be there first thing. We were in line like the third group on Sun. and they set up tarps and cooked food and it was very together. It was raining and people came and sat under their Tarps. We looked like a Nomad's camp. Late in the night a group of young men led by Sir Cambraus" son came by. Most of them had grown up in the SCA. They told me they were "Vikings" and I asked them about Loki and the look asked me "Who?"
I had them gather and I told stories of Asgard for the whole night. I felt in my persona even with all the cars and plastic things. It was a lot of fun.
