[Ansteorra] Why aren't we doing this?

Like flush toilets and hand sanitizer, it's not a necessity, but it certainly was a convenient way to keep a dozen kiddos occupied all by me onesies during a reportedly epic court.

And since it was far away from anyone who could have been bothered by it, I don't see the problem.

If you say so. But by that logic kids in the SCA should be insisting
on wearing their jeans and T-shirts, not dresses and tunics at events.

Granted, but neither were the kids and adults in the SCA before the
early 1990s. Somehow we managed to survive and keep ourselves entertained.

To be honest, I've no idea. At a guess, I'd say they weren't, and
were babysat by older siblings or servants of some sort.

And dolls, stick-horses, and other toys or games... and I've seen SCA
kids doing the same thing. I've *never* seen the necessity of "let's
keep the kids busy during court by having them watch the latest Disney video."
