Subject: [Ansteorra] WoA Thank You and Lost and Found

Good Morning!

I wanted to take a moment and to thank each and every one of you who
came
out to support our event! We expected this event to be epic and it was!

There was a lot of hard work that went into making this event such a
huge
success. Unofficially we had over 400 people on site which is by far
the
largest event that Ffynnon Gath has ever hosted. I was proud to be a
part
of it. There were a lot of people who pulled together to make this
event
happen and I want to acknowledge their efforts with a bit of word fame.

My co-steward, LD. Ulrich von Brixen was a rock among the chaos. I
relied
heavily upon him to insure that things went smoothly when I couldn't be
in
two places at once.

Our Feast Stewards, HL Donnchad and Mistress Regina put together an
amazing
array of dishes that astounded everyone - just as promised! The serving
staff did an excellent job as well. HL Illaria did a fantastic job
with the
nobles luncheon; the presentation was amazing.

Lady Mirabelis did a super job organizing and running our gate crew.
And I
thank everyone who volunteered to sit gate to help greet our visitors -
you
were an integral part of this event!

I want to thank Lady Aleksandra and HE Janais for working so hard on a
whole
host of projects that made this event such a huge success.
Specifically,
Lady Aleksandra put together the shire museum that highlighted the 20+
years
that Ffynnon Gath has been a part of this noble Kingdom. She also made
the
banners for the principal armies as well as those hanging in the tavern
hall. HE Janais worked very hard to create our sheep, the aprons for
the
serving crew as well as so many other things that they are just too
numerous
to mention here. Her service to our shire, indeed to our Kingdom,
continues
to astound and amaze me.

I would also like to thank HL Svan Coldbrowskaldsson for helping us
with our
Bardic competition.

Sir Evets, Centurion Sven worked hard all year to brew for this event.
I
believe we had 13 kegs of various homebrew available and I know that
everyone enjoyed their efforts. When the Saracen Blade opened they
worked
very hard to insure that no one went thirsty.

Our entertainers were amazing! If you missed hearing Porkulus you
missed a
fantastic group of musicians. The crowd loved them! The drumming and
dancing at this event was probably the best I've seen and heard in a
long
time.

Our young crew of worker bees; Elena, Bridget, Miklos, Mathias, Oglaf,
Edmund, Cyrus, Allora and Fionn made the event happen on so many levels
that
I can't thank each of you enough!

Sir Caladin did an amazing job with putting together games for the
tavern
and orchestrating the overall theme of the party. It was epic!

Sir John brought forth the bacon, and it was good! This is a tradition
that
we adopted from our visit to Estrella and I know we'll do this again.
Thank
you Bacon Girls and Bacon Boys :-)

The fine people of Seawinds did an amazing job with Sir John's vigil and
just simply providing assistance in general.

And finally - our principal army leaders; Sir Gaston and Sir Lochlan as
well
as Centurion Wayland. You guys rock and we greatly appreciate
everything
you did to make the fighting this past weekend spectacular in every way!

I apologize if I've missed anyone but know that you are appreciated
immensely!

People are already asking about next year. Stay tuned friends - we are
working on it!!!

In Service,

Centurion Robert de Bray

Event Steward - War of Ages

LOST AND FOUND -

We had only one item left on site - a white fold up, plastic chair was
left
in the period encampment by the Maid Marian chapel. If this belongs to
you
please contact me off list.
