That was the waterbearer tent. I was there. Apparently, there *was* a tornado sighted between 5 and 7 miles from the site. I was Chirurgeon in Charge and we treated a lot of interesting boo-boos including a guy who was hit in the head with a cafeteria table which was flying through the air at the time. The 911 service was so overloaded they were not answering the phone for hours.

At that particular Warlord (so I was told) the winds were running 50+
mph. That's what was triggering the tornado siren. There was a
black-and-yellow carport roof that ended up against one of the power
poles near the listfield... about fifteen or twenty feet up, and
bearing a strong resemblance to the sail on a viking ship.
