 One problem with what you are proposing, Good Sir.  That helmet is not
legal, as is.  You still need to add the perf plate or somthing to the eye
slot.  Now, that is not expensive and most people have someone around that
can help weld it in place or attach it somehow...

But as is, that is not a legal helmet.
