"What about the number of people who offended or frustrated by the requirement to have a consort?"

^^ I keep seeing things like this from lots of folks (not necc. all from this list, lol.) and I wanted to address it, because this question encompasses both of the most popular unintentional red herrings.



1.    "While we're discussing A, what about B?"

What about B? You want to discuss how you feel about B? Start a thread and send a comment to the BoD. See if other folks agree with you. That's awesome and no one is stopping you, but it would be awesome if we could all agree not to piggyback other issues onto this one.



2.    "We don't like A so we shouldn't fix B, either."

You can address one issue without addressing every single other issue at the same time. Yes, this measure sheds more light on some other issues with our system of governance, but that doesn't mean that we have to address them all right now (or ever). Our system of governance is based on alot of factors, but most of all, we govern the way that we do because it's FUN. You know, because this is our hobby and not our whole life? :)
