[Ansteorra] Royalty-Same Sex Consorts?

Greetings All,

At Argent we were visited by Duchess Isabella, who I believe was from the
East.  It was explained to me at the time that 'she' had ruled as queen,
though there was more to her than met the eye, so to speak.  I had assumed
that meant that it had been a same sex reign, or multiple ones, as she was a
Duchess.  Does anyone remember the facts of Isabella's title and reigns?
