Greetings unto the Populace of Ansteorra!
Where do all the non-combatants go, while the armies are on the field at Gulf Wars? To Artisan's Row, of course!
However, Artisan's Row would be a very dull place without classes and demonstrations.
We are seeking gentles wishing to teach classes during Gulf Wars. We need everything from the basic "How To ... [knit, carve, spin, weave, felt, dye, etch, cook, etc.]", to specific "How to Make/Do [something specific]", to complex demonstrations, multi-step processes, and advanced classes. Artisan's Row has space and time for hands-on, messy, equipment-intense and unique classes involving water, fire, long draws, loud noises, and frequent spills. Class teachers will have the support of a local area coordinator - so don't worry if this is your first time to teach!
We also have lecture tents available for classes that pass on knowledge and history, encourage discussions, and introduce the mindset of a specific time period or location. For fighter-scholars and for classes requiring darkness: we have plans for a series of night-classes, as well.
However, I need your info SOON, to get your information in the site book. The printing deadline is in two weeks!
You can submit your class info here: <http://www.gulfwars.org/index.php/gw-activities/arts-sciences/classes-a-s-events>
If you have questions, feel free to contact a class coordinator, or ask me.
Even if you don't plan to teach - please plan to stop by, take a class, and admire the work of your artisans.
In Service to the Dream,
H.L. Willoc mac Muiredaig,
Textiles-Wet coordinator, Artisan's Row, GW

P.S. I am personally seeking classes involving water, chemicals, and fibers - dyeing, felting, retting, basketry, batik-stamping, pigment-making, staining, papermaking, tanning, etc... The smellier and messier, the better. Have something you'd like to teach? Contact me!
