[Ansteorra] Royal Huntsman - Special Tourney Rules***

greetings

there was a period when heavy fighters hated being called a target, even
when everyone on the field of war is a target for everyone else.
luckily that should no longer be a problem for future events as it was my
understanding that the society missile marshal had ruled that as long as
there was no attempt to engage by the heavy armored fighters , they were
just living / moving targets.
so no ca authorization would be needed for non ca'ers to participate in
target rounds of that nature .
the trick is getting the fighters to agree to be targets ; ) ( quite often
those " targets " are other combat archers in armor , being shot at so
others can have fun , and possibly interest more people in becoming combat
archers )
but I'm old and may have mis remembered the details, if I am remembering
this wrong , could someone please post the correct details , thanx.

Please stop with the personal attacks. The Barony went to a great
deal of trouble to try to get the combat authorization requirement
waived for that particular tournament, but Corporate did not agree
with our reasoning and refused our request. It was certainly not a
matter of lack of "enlightenment" in those leading the event.

In addition, the local archery marshals went out of their way to
simplify the combat authorization procedure for those who wished to
compete. No one chose to take advantage of it. Multiple
authorization opportunities were arranged and no one even showed up.
