[Ansteorra] Who are the individuals who sued the SCA?

Weigh your words carefully, Stefan. Having everything in the open would
definitely be a noble thing, but I think your last paragraph explained the
second and third. The plaintiffs could easily become a collective scapegoat
for whatever ails the Society--not just financial woes, but also the notion
that we may have lost our way over the last several years, or that "things
are just not the same". We don't want the Society to be involved in any
kind of retaliation. We're doing well to get out from under this situation
at all. No use getting ourselves right back under it.

I can't speak for everybody, but I, for one, do not want to be associated
with a Society that goes after anybody vigilante-style. Not naming the
plaintiffs goes a long way in preventing that from happening. The person
truly responsible is behind bars. Keep that in mind.

In the meantime, let's be less in a hurry to react to the news and more
anxious to process the news deliberately and soberly. This announcement is
going to take a while for me to digest.

You're good people, Stefan. You do valuable work for the kingdom. Please
don't let anger consume you. Let it ennoble you instead.

Pax et bonum,
Detlef von Marburg
