No, it wouldn't always be obvious. There are plenty of things that happen
behind the scenes that would make someone not good for Crown or even not a
good idea or choice for that particular Crown Tournament. And stating some
things in public would be a Very Bad Idea for both sides. And while I don't
always like it (because I have the curiosity of a cat :) ), some things
don't need to be known by the populace at large if for no other reason than
the integrity of the game and its public image.
