[Ansteorra] What exactly are "bounces" on the list

When the list mailer daemon tries to send an email to you it will "bounce" if it is returned as undeliverable by any of
the servers that carry it to you. USUALLY, this happens at the server that belongs to your Internet Service Provider but
not always. There is quite a bit of tolerance built into the system and, if I recall correctly, it takes a few days of
bounces before your mail delivery is turned off. You may want to go to the Ansteorran List Server and log into the
system and make sure that all of your settings, primarily your email address, is correct on that page. It could also be
that your provider has blacklisted our email server and bounces messages from us automatically. This happened with AOL
about a year ago and there is nothing that we can do to restore service to an ISP that has blocked our listserv other
than put in helpdesk tickets with Dreamhost to petition your provider to restore service.

Subject: [Ansteorra] What exactly are "bounces" on the list

To the email list moderators or any one that can answer my question:

I received an email (I am assuming an automated one) that said I had excessive "bounces" on the list.  To the best of my
knowledge I have not been posting or marking as spam any emails from the list especially on the day listed in the
email.  What could be causing this and how do I remedy it?

Thanks for whatever help you can give me,

Thora O.
