[Ansteorra] ACCEPS Note

Greetings Ansteorra,

Over the weekend, we heard about the Board's discontinued relationship with
ACCEPS, the only system in place for widespread credit card acceptance.

While the timing of this announcement was unexpected, the actual, eventual
shut-down of ACCEPS was expected. ACCEPS was a utility, intended to be an
interim service usable until a more permanent solution could be developed,
tested, and implemented. At this time, a replacement system is not yet
available.

While the nuances of this decision are being parsed, and while we wait for
more information, please try to remember that everyone at all levels of our
Society do want to keep our Dream alive, and we are all people making the
best decisions we can with the information available.
