Greetings Ansteorra!
The glory of Summer has fled yet ever golden Ansteorra continues to grow.
Those of you
actively recruiting are succeeding, Your efforts make me proud of all those
doing the work to
bring both new and returning players to the SCA. once we have recruited we
must retain these
people through classes, revels and personal interaction. Invite them to
ride along with you to
meetings, event,s or just to grab a coffee with you while you post more of
the materials that
recruited them. Yes we are growing yet there is no time to let up on your
efforts. With school in session libraries, bookstores, and schools, are
full of people who are there to read and learn, the perfect opportunity to
have them read about the SCA. Place your groups literature, where they will
make the most impact.be sure to have SCA.org and your local contact
information on any such literature.

If your group does not have such items of literary importance feat
not. Thanks to the stellar efforts of Lord Goldweard of St. Golias the
Hospitalers office has a limited number to share. If your group is in need
please contact myself or my southern deputy Goldweard and he will gladly
help you. These lovely Ansteorra themed bookmarks, postcards, and business
cards have room to write your local contact information on the back!

With Thanksgiving approaching you might think about having your local group
march in your hometown's holiday parade. What a great way to show off for
the community. Be sure to have SCA.Org somewhere on a banner you are
bearing in those parades to make the most impact toward recruiting.

Our YouTube site is ready to host videos. All it needs are those
educational videos from groups
around the Kingdom to share our knowledge with the new people. If you have
a video suitable
for sharing with new people to the SCA along with the required forms please
email me and we
will get it posted. I can't wait to see your submissions. Your knowledge
could be helpful to
others why not share it!

Lastly, time goes so quickly when you are having fun. In January my warrant
as Kingdom Hospitaler will end and though I would love to continue to serve
all of you and this amazing Kingdom in this manner it is only right that we
make way for those with fresh ideas and new enthusiasm, so please send your
applications to myself, Their Majesties, and the Society Chatelaine so that
a replacement may be ready when the time comes.

Kindly
Baron Ian Dun Gillan
