[Ansteorra] Elfsea Artisan Competition

[Baron of Elfsea via Ansteorra]

Greetings unto the Talented Artisans of Ansteorra,



We invite you to compete to become the next Elfsea Baronial Artisan.
Honorable Lady Jeanne-Marie has done a wonderful job as our current
Artisan.  We are seeking a worthy successor.



This year begins a new format for determining our Champion.  Those seeking
to become our Champion will enter a static piece as usual and they will
also teach a class.  The guidelines are listed below along with a link to
the event Facebook page.



This will all occur at our Elfsea Baronial College on Saturday, October 1st.
We look forward to seeing you and the work you will be entering.

This year’s theme will be our future the children



The competitors will be asked to:

1. Display an art or science piece.  Documentation is recommended but not
required.

2. Demonstrate their ability to teach an art or science by teaching one
class.

3. Send a letter of intent including the class you are teaching for
champion consideration.

The class does not have to be on the item you are displaying.



There are things that will be looked for in the class.

·         Knowledge of the subject, ability to answer questions or direct
toward finding resources.

·         Organization and flow of information.

·         Ability to adapt to the needs of the current class.

·         Directions for finding resources.
