Greetings all!

SCA 50th Year Opening Ceremonies are this Sunday! That means you'll only
have to deal with one or two more messages from me with pre-event
announcements. ;) Thank you for your patience and attention!

Please see the below announcements regarding: the "My Schedule" App,
5-Weapon Armored Tourney, Artisan Square, Judges needed for Brewing
Competitions, and the Known World Novice Archery Tourney.

Using our  “My Schedule” app on the SCA 50 Year website to build your
custom 50 Year calendar?

Please be aware that putting the class on your personal list IS NOT
registering for the class!

Just like at Pennsic, the limited classes are going to be “first come,
first served” and you must show up to get a spot.

We are working to add some sessions of the more popular classes to allow
more people to participate.

One exception is the Textile Printing classes with Countess Brigit (Textile
Prinitng Blocks, and Stencils on Tuesday and Thursday); you MUST register
on the Facebook group as noted in the class descriptions.

The Duchy of Lozengia is pleased to host a Five Weapon Armored Tournament
on Tuesday, June 21 from 3 pm to 6 pm on the Outdoor Field during SCA 50
Year.

Double elimination armored tournament format; best three (3) out of five
(5) fights with spear, polearm, greatsword, two weapon, and sword and
buckler. Weapons order choice abides by combatant's OP, lower rank choosing
first. No weapons forms may be repeated in a bout of five (5) fights.

Artisan Square will be ready and waiting for you on your arrival at SCA 50
Year! Explore the Great Machine, direct from Calontir! Visit each handcraft
booth, and learn new skills.

You'll see potters, woodworkers, glassmakers and blacksmiths. Domestic Arts
feature too, in our own on-site period cooking tent (we call it FoodLab),
weaving of all kinds, and even a laundry.

**Planning on hanging out on Laundry Day in the Square? Mistress Heodez
will now be teaching that day as Mistress Drea has had an unexpected
conflict.**

Are you a BJCP judge, a brewing Laurel, have a Grant of Arms in brewing, or
an IKBG judge and are going to 50th year?

The tavern is looking for a few more Judges to help round out the daily
Brewing Competitions.

These daily competitions run from 5:30pm-6:30pm daily in the Gold'N'Gryphon
tavern. Winners will receive an "award winning brew" ribbon to display on
their brews.

Are you a new archer in the SCA? Have you never won a tourney before?
Haven't won a kingdom level archery award? Will you be at 50 year
celebration?

Well, we have the shoot for you! Come and enjoy a shoot with other archers
from all over other kingdoms!

The Known World Novice Archery Tourney is taking place Sunday, June 19,
2016 at 11:00am on the archery field. There will be a crossbow winner and
traditional bow winner. Come out and show the Known World what a novice
archer is about.

The tourney is sponsored by Lady Melissa Di Constantino of the South Oaken
region of the Middle Kingdom.
