[Kingdom Social Media Officer]

Greetings!

I am very excited to announce a few changes to the Social Media Office in
Ansteorra!

First, as announced at Roundtable, local branch Social Media Officers
(SMOs) are no longer a direct deputy position to the local branch
Seneschal. Like the MoC office, SMOs will be full-fledged officers. They
will report directly to the KSMO with required quarterly reports, but are
still under the Seneschal track. All current SMOs will be grandfathered
into the role and will not have to reapply should they wish. If the SMO
office is not filled, the seneschal will continue to be responsible for
monitoring official channels just as it was when the SMOs were deputies to
the seneschal. Seneschals should be back up admins on all local branch
channels with the deputy as well. This will not change.

All SMOs will be required to attend the SMO roundtable meetings and have a
solid working knowledge of the Society and Ansteorra Social Media Policies
and enforce the policies. Each branch will need to create a social media
email if there is not one already for the new SMO office.

All current SMOs will need to reach out to me at
social-media at seneschal.ansteorra.org to be placed on the roster.
Seneschals, if you do not have a SMO currently, please open the office for
anyone interested in the position. I will begin the officer application
process as applications come in (Elfsea, I will be posting about your SMO
application shortly).

Second, I am opening the following deputy positions:

*Principality of Vindheim Deputy*
This deputy will be responsible for managing the social media accounts for
the Principality of Vindheim– currently only the Principality Facebook
Page, Coronet page, and Facebook Group. They will support Principality SMOs
and work with the KSMO, Content Creation Team, and other deputies.

*TikTok Deputy*
This deputy will be responsible for monitoring and managing the official
Ansteorra TikTok account. They will work with local Branch SMOs, Content
Creation Team, and populace members to create tiktok videos to upload
regularly of the Kingdom’s activities!

*Discord Deputy*
This deputy will be responsible for monitoring and assisting with the
official discord platforms for all branches that have official Discords.
Must have a strong working knowledge of the discord platform.

*Instagram & Threads Deputy*
This deputy will be responsible for monitoring and creating & collecting
content for the Kingdom of Ansteorra instagram account. They will be
responsible for finding and sharing photos of the kingdom’s activities at
local, regional and kingdom levels. Currently the Threads app is not an
official channel. Since the account is connected to the instagram account,
this deputy will be in charge of monitoring it in addition to Instagram.
These positions will be held for the recommended 2 years.

Also, I am excited to announce the following new *Livestream/Youtube Deputy*:
Honorable Lady kolfinna inn kyrra Ottarsdottir!

This deputy role will be responsible for coordinating and managing Official
Kingdom live streams. The Live Stream/Youtube Deputy will have access to
the streamyard platform to help manage the streams. Official livesteams
include but not limited to: Crown Tournaments, Coronet Tournaments, Queen’s
Champion, and the State of the Kingdom from Roundtable. All branches who
wish to utilize the streamyard platform will communicate with this deputy.
The deputy role will also be responsible for uploading and promoting
relevant content provided by the populace to the kingdom of Ansteorra
youtube channel.

Finally,
As discussed previously, the content creation team has come together to
create an official Calendar Guide for the Social Media Office to follow. To
be transparent, I will be creating a separate post with the dates listed
for the populace to refer. A PDF of the dates will also be posted on the
website on the Social page at https://ansteorra.org/social/ for easy
reference. Please keep an eye out for that information in the coming weeks.

In collaboration with our DEIB Office, posting about certain heritage
months and days of recognition have been split between the SMO and DEIB
offices.These dates will not be on the Official Calendar Guide but will
still be recognized by the DEB Office. The DEIB office is better equipped
to honor those dates and the SMO office is thrilled to support them moving
forward.

I am eager to see the SMO office grow throughout the kingdom!
