ARCH - Period crossbow division questions...

Good Morning,

  Okay, not everyone may be able to answer these question, but I thought
  I'd ask since someone might know.

  First, would there be anything that would make period crossbow bolts
  different than the style we use today for SCA shooting? Yes, we could
  use more period glues and tips, but since any style head besides
  broadhead is allowed, this shouldn't be an issue of the crossbow bolts
  I've seen. (ie. 2 or 3 feathers with field points)

  Second, what is a rifle style butt in comparisson to the style on most
  Iolo bows?

  I realize that I won't be in the top 3 for period crossbow in the
  Known World, but it would be fun to shoot it.
