The bolt most of us use are "period". The ones I used with the plactic
knocks ground down flat were not "period" so I could only shoot them in the
open div. I am modifing my bolts to have a copper fing on the but which will
pass as period and will hopefully reduce the missfires I have been having.

Rifle butts are concave to conform the the sholder better most if not all of
Iolos bows are period.

I was the only one to shoot period crossbow last year never made the list
but may be this year "yea right".
