Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is a very dense, tough plastic that
cuts & machines well and is extremely puncture resistant - no punch through,
ever. It is used in place of the dowel or plywood stops in normal Markland
type arrows. It should work equally well for wood shafts, too.
