Subject: ARCH - Archery Results from Greywoods BOP XVII, Sept. 30

>There was lots of good shooting and good fun at Greywood's Battle of the
Pines XVII this past weekend.
>
>It has been a long time since there was archery at a Greywood event.
However, interest in Archery has been steadily growing in Greywood for the
past few months with numerous unofficial backyard archery practices being
held on a regular basis. I am confident that His Majesties forests are well
protected by the archers of Greywood.
>
>There were 19 archery participants at BOP this weekend with 12 archers
recording scores and competing to be the Archery Champion of Greywood. This
means that there were more people entered into the Archery list than any
other of the competitions. There were more Archers than their were Rapier,
Chivalric, A&S, Bardic, or Equestrian participants.
>
>At the end of the day, Don Sebastian Frobishire, The Royal Huntsman of
Ansteorra, had distinguished himself with a Royal Round score of 70 in the
competition to become Greywood's new Archery Champion. Incidentally, after
the competition Don Sebastian had a second Royal Round score of 81 as he
finished out an IKAC score of 198. To Don Sebastian, VIVAT!
>
>Thanks need to be given to Lord Iaen Mor for helping setup the archery
range and marshalling throughout the day, and to Don Sebastian for helping
with the days activities including instructing youth and novice archers.
Congratulations to Aaron Whitewolf who interned with the marshallate
throughout the day (and previously at Kingdom Warlord/Bordermarch Baronial)
and is now authorized and recognized as the Archery Marshal for Greywood.
