  Humblest thanks for the words of encouragement m'lord.  I am far from being 
the archer I hope to be, but I have indeed been practicing diligently in 
spite of the heat
(5-6 hours per week).  
  Regarding the heat, I implore all our archers to drink lots of water, take 
plenty of breaks in the shade, and if you find yourself feeling the least bit 
not well, by all means stop and shoot another day.
  Sweat is a hindrance, but a wee hand towel hung on one's belt is a handy 
thing indeed.  Also, I've noticed that heat and perspiration encourage 
blisters to form faster so I carry a pouch of cornstarch to dip my bowstring 
fingers in from time to time.  It keeps 'em cooler, drier, and less prone to 
what HL Gilli refers to as an "epidermal blowout"!
