You're right.  I think it should be required too.  I would also include in
the rulle that the minimum flat surface on the head should be a 1" diameter
circle.  The Trimarian heads that were rounded almost to a dome were lethal.
If I didn't think it was a good idea I wouldn't have included it in the
instructions at all.  I also think that I will talk to whoever might be
kingdom archery marshal next year about using the same basic rulle they use
for thrusting tips.  If you can feel the edge of the rattan (or in this case
UHMW) it fails.
