For those of you who did not join us you missed a good war. Lord Ironwyrm
has already reported on the awards so I'll just talk about the other stuff.

If didn't fight in any of the battles but I marshaled ALL of the battles
that had combat archery including the Nautical Guild happenings and I went
to all of the Marshals Courts.

Iaen and I also spent a LOT of time inspecting. In fact is seemed like at
times that was all we did. There were a couple of days that we were up at
8AM to open the inspection point an didn't get back to camp till after dark.
Since Seamus was also the Siege weapons marshal he had to be at the siege
weapons range so we were often left to organize and run the inspection
point. Lady Tessa the Huntress, the Society Combat Archery Marshal, spent
most of the days with us we are glad to have developed a good working and
personal relationship with her.

Primarily while marshalling I was watching the archers VERY closely. For
the Archers Only, the Ravine, and the Fort Battles I marshaled from behind
the Ansteorran lines. For the Field battles I marshaled from behind the
Trimaran lines to observe their archers and watch how they do things.

We won the Archery War Point! Our Royal Huntsman felt that he would be more
useful to the War effort at the Archery Range so he did his time there on
Friday and Saturday rather than at the Field and Fort Battles and with a
couple of scores in the high 80's helped push us over the top.

Despite having a one man numerical advantage we lost all of the Archers Only
battles. The Trimarans had better tactics and were much more nimble and
quick and in every single battle sprinted out and took the high ground and
good cover before our archers did. They also worked better as a team both
overall on the large scale of executing their strategy very well and in the
smaller sense as smaller teams of archers. They nearly always worked in
pairs or trios with one person always ready to shoot and providing cover
while the other was reloading. They had a larger percentage of crossbowmen
which aren't as affected buy the APDs and were just hitting their marks MUCH
better.
