I usually just go to www.fsdiscountarchery.com and order my supplies.  Their
price for vanes depends on size and how many you get.  For example: 3 pk of
5 inch right or left wing rounbacks is 11.50 per pack, while the same amount
of 2.5 inch is only 4.60 per pack.

Right or left is direction they curve.  Some call it a right or left
helical.  It is the direction that it will cause the arrow to spin.

Usually, but not always, the cock feather is a differant color so one can
tell at a quick glace if the arrow is on correctly.  But unless you have an
APD or the like on your arrow, it will still fly.

I commend you on your desire to be as period as possible.  But you're
getting deeper into the weeds than I've been.
