[Ansteorra-archery] Bowman Tournaments

Damm, I kinda agree with you Gilli. Anybody on a given day could win, above
and beyond their expectations. But at the same time sponsoring a beginners
tourney persay is a good idea. What is the best way to get someone to
practice, dangle a little bait in front of them. It does seem to work for
the chivalric lists. At the same time I think it behooves the better
archers to make sure that they attend these shoots to offer their advice and
experience. I think as a whole we the archery community do not spend enough
time with a newer archers. Yes, I am as guilty of this as others, but we
have and can see examples of this. The time you spent with Lord Robert is a
good example, he may have had the natural skill but who provided the time,
range and incentive. The same could be said of Lord Carluccio, the man
seems to have a lot of talent when it comes to shooting but having someone
look at your form, stance and equipment and helping to better all can not be
discounted. Sure lets have beginner tournaments but lets also make sure the
pride of Ansteorran archers are there to coach, teach and encourage them in
their endavors.
