[Ansteorra-archery] Pomp and Ceremony

I'll have to agree with this.  While there are occasional RR or IKAC
shoots at events in the North, for the last couple of years it's seemed
like I always have something else to do at the events they've been at.
I've figured that I could get an away shoot in later in the year, but
the events I have time at, don't seem to offer RR shoots.

Along those lines, we have not yet decided on a format for shooting at
Namron's Beltain this year.  I need to get together with last year's
winner, and with the autocrat and our Baron and Baroness, but if there
is anyone needing an away score this spring and planning on coming to
Beltain, if you will let me know ahead of time I will make sure to mark
out the range ahead of time.

I hate to be the lone disenting voice, but I would
like to see more "plain-jane" Royal Rounds, IKACs and
IKCACs. In three years of shooting in the SCA I have
exactly 1 "away" shoot and that was at the AoB down
Stargate way when they were letting us shoot Royal
Rounds practically all day when the Huntsman wasn't
going on. I've never shot an IKAC outside of
Steppes/Glaslyn and I've only shot one IKCAC which was
here in Steppes. I know a few other archers who have
never shot an "away" shoot and therefore aren't ranked
in the RR Standings. 

It seems kinda sad to me that as an Ansteorran Archer
I'll have to go to Gulf Wars just to be able to shoot
RRs, IKACs, and IKCACs somewhere other than the
Steppes Archery range. 

And yes Gilli(and others) I know that y'all shoot all
the time at your practices but it is a bit far for me
to travel 3+ hours just to shoot for a couple of hours
and then drive home. It would be much better to be
able to go to an event for the weekend and while I'm
there spend time on someone else's range.
