Another VERY good book as a reference guide to building a tradtional
bow is Cherokee Bows and Arrows: How to Make and Shoot Primitive
Bows and Arrows     Copyright 1986 by Al Herrin

I think this is one of the best books available today to use as a
reference and guide in building primitive bows. There are one
hundred sixty+ pages of Bowmaking, Arrow making, String making, and
many other Primitive Archery topics.

Al Herrin is one of the authors also featured in the Traditional
Bowyers Bibles (like Jim Hamm).  The book is hard to find in stores
but relatively easy to find online.
