Not to rain on your parade, but if you set a minimum, it is not a donation,
but a site fee. If you say "We need at least $5/adult to cover our costs,
but pay what you can", you probably have a donation.
Sounds like fun.
In service,
Caelin on Andrede

Dude!! Sorry about that. I'll make sure that won't happen again. That was
the first time we had campers. It's a learning curve. We'll get better at
it.

That's right folks, like Lord Robert said, there won't be ANY scores shot at
this years Archer's Revel. No last big chance to try to raise the Kingdom's
standings in the IKAC/IKCAC this year. Oh well, perhaps next.
However, the non event will, as it has for the past decade or so but it was
then, be held Thanksgiving weekend. With all the stuff to do and have fun
at, all the food, we probably won't miss not shooting for score. If there's
a class you'd like to give please let me know and we'll get you on the
schedule.
This year, while the food is free, we will be asking a monetary donation
(min of $5 for adults, $1 for kids, or more if you want to) for site fee.
All monies collected will be use, by means of a raffle, to get an SCA
membership to those in attendance who don't have one but would like one.
We'll do the raffle after feast on Saturday. If we have money left after
doing up the paper work for new memberships, raffle tickets will be passed
out to current members for a renewal. In the unlikely event we have money
left over, it will carry over to the next Burkhaven Birthday Championship
where it will start all over. Branch affiliation has no bearing on who gets
a membership; attendance does. You gotta be there to get one. There will
be at least 3 new / renewals even if I have to pay for them myself.
Limited camping is available ( I will dust for the ants this time :), hey,
who knew they were attack ants??).
More info shortly.
Just let me know if you're coming so I can have enough food.
