as far as i can tell , as many as you want , but you can only have 15 arrows total in them .

possibly , they do tend to refer to the ravine battle as " archers shooting fish in a barrel .

blame the whiners in the other kingdoms .
ansteorra is one of the few kingdoms that seems to promote combat archery  
( so maybe we have real men , not sissies ?? )
this is just my opinion from reading too many posts on too many lists , but .

you got " clear the bow " because heavies didnt like hitting " unarmed archers " since you couldnt shoot them if they were too close.
now your " armed " till your within sword range.

you lost arrows because they only want to look at the fighter in front of them and not keep an eye out for archers , in other words 
" archers kill too many people " i've even read that " it wasn't fair because while a knight was busy killing 1 fighter , an archer could kill 4 fighters including the knight , making the knight look bad ". dont ask me , i dont understand either.

and you have to return to the res point to reload for 2 reasons .
1, to tire you out so that you dont hit your target as often / your too tired to outrun them , and 
2. they want the archers to " die " as often as the people they are shooting , with the resultant walk back and forth .

apearantly , they believe that this willl give them more time on the field without being shot at .

so when you get to those battles with ca , remember to use your amo wisely, aim carefully , and shoot the silly whiner on the enemies  side ; )

but like i said this is all just my opinion

replace wussies with archers and you have the common battle cry of those that want to see ca banned everywhere.
