Sort of like in football, your commands only need to be understood by your
archers and maybe the commanders of the other groups on your side. So "12,
54, hike" might mean everyone move to the right and shoot to the left. They
know *something* is happening and can see a gathering of archers, but they
don't know what they are doing or what the "do it now" command will be.

Heilsa,

To make this work, then you or someone will be yelling out commands - 
which everyone will be able to heard and understand, on both sides!

This has always been one of the major flaws in archers gathering in a 
mass - so commands are yelled out and lo and behold - there is "No 
Surprise."

Been there and done that - and burned the both the T-Shirt and the 
photos! Not worth the effort!
